In 2004, he was awarded the title of specialist by the Brazilian Society of Family and Community Medicine. With a special interest in chronic pain, Dr. Vieira has been actively involved in professional development, attending and lecturing at international conferences and updating his knowledge with the most recent developments in the field. As a member of the Brazilian Society of Family and Community Medicine, he was honored to contribute to the first edition of the Family Medicine Handbook in the chapter on chronic pain management. With a deep understanding of health systems worldwide, Dr. Vieira earned his Master's degree in International Health Management from Imperial College London and currently splits his time between Brazil and the UK. He has been practicing telemedicine for the past few years and has worked in hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic in Sao Paulo.
