    Booking a consultation with us is straightforward and can be done in two ways:


    1) Online Booking: Visit our page Booking and Price to select a suitable time slot, either for the same day or a future date. You'll only need to provide basic information like your full name, email, and phone contact. No local documents like CPF are required, making it convenient for international visitors.

    2) WhatsApp Assistance: If you require urgent assistance or a time slot not available online, contact us via WhatsApp. We'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.

  • Are the telemedicine consultations provided by My Brazilian Doctor secure and confidential?

    Yes, our telemedicine service prioritizes confidentiality and safety. We use Zoom, an authorized platform for healthcare, for video calls, ensuring secure and private consultations. 

    Prescription notes are digitally issued through Memed, a trusted and encrypted provider in Brazil. Additionally, the confidentiality of your health information is a top priority and a legal obligation upheld by the Brazilian laws and the Brazilian Medical Council, to which all registered doctors in Brazil are affiliated.

  • What qualifications and experience do the doctor at My Brazilian Doctor have?

    Our Medical Director and principal consultant is a seasoned Family Doctor with over 20 years of clinical experience. They have undergone high-standard training in Brazil and the UK. For added assurance regarding their medical background, certificates of our physician's main qualifications are available for review.   • How does My Brazilian Doctor handle prescriptions and are they valid at local pharmacies?

    After your video consultation, any prescribed medications are sent to you via an electronic doctor's prescription in a PDF file, which is valid at any pharmacy in Brazil. This digital prescription note, regulated by Brazilian health authorities, is signed with a digital certification, featuring a unique sequential number and QR code. It is valid for 30 days and expires after use to prevent duplicates. 

    For more controlled drugs, a special paper prescription is required. On this cases our team can send it by priority post and it is delivered in 1-2 days. In Sao Paulo we have possibility of a same day deliver by a courrier.

  • What are the consultation fees and are there different pricing options available?

    The consultation fee at My Brazilian Doctor is $50 USD, with no additional or hidden costs. This fee includes a follow-up call with your doctor following your appointment. For your convenience, we also provide document, which can be used for health insurance reimbursement purposes and, if required, a Clinical Summary. The fee doesn't include the cost of medication which will be paid directly on the pharmacy and lab tests that, if needed,  can be paid on the lab.

    Yes, as long as you have an internet connection, you can access My Brazilian Doctor's services from anywhere in Brazil. The prescription notes issued can be used at any pharmacy across the country.

  • What should I expect during my first telemedicine consultation?

    During your first consultation, the doctor will discuss your symptoms, including their duration and intensity, and inquire about any other related symptoms and potential risk factors you might have been exposed to. They will also gather important information about your medical history, including any existing health conditions and regular medications you may be taking.

    You can easily reschedule or cancel a booked consultation through a secure link sent to your email immediately after booking. There are no penalties for rescheduling your appointment.

    If you require additional lab tests or scans, you will be provided with a digitally signed medical request. We will also guide you in locating nearby laboratories or facilities for these tests.
